Rabbi Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg: The Mainstream Is Always Right (sic)

Chazal say: “אין אדם עובר עבירה אא”כ נכנס בו רוח שטות”.

Now I heard a play-of-words in the name of Rabbi Scheinberg zatzal, adding a Yud: “אין אדם עובר עבירה אלא א”כ נכנס בו רוח שיטות“.

Yidddishkeit is perfect as is. Well… almost perfect. The only fly-in-the-ointment are those inexplicable notions countering the obviously infallible mainstream. It’s those antisocial types who insist on their new “shitos”!

As I wrote before, mainstream “shitos” are invisible to the deluded mainstream (other synonyms: background, gravity, tapestry, oxygen, white space). They don’t have any shitos, we hear them exclaim. It’s all obvious and traditional and based on sources! Debate is almost impossible.
