בספר עלינו לשבח על בראשית מהגאון הרב יצחק זילברשטיין שליט”א עמוד תנח כתב שאחד סיפר להגר”ח שנגנב לו ספר תורה, ושאל מה לעשות, השיב לו שבמסכת שמחות (פי”א הל’ י”א) שמי שנאבד לו ס”ת נכנס להר הבית ויקיף בהר הבית, ושאל השואל, הרי זה בזמן בית המקדש ומה שייך לעשות זה כעת, והשיב הר”ח שגם אחרי החורבן אפשר לעשות כן.

Forget it.
Instead of a boring book review, I shall make one (slightly unfair) mocking comment:
This central-planning ילד-שמנת fool hoped for endless, “high-minded” quasi-scientific Labor-socialist experiments on live Jewish human beings (wages, hours, etc., etc.).*
And he sure got his wish…
(The author himself followed an unclear mix of Austrian economics and some socialism.)
Hertzl keeps repeating en tutto that such-and-such an experiment will redound to the whole world’s welfare, it seems he might even believe it, himself!
*When commenting on books written in German, one must, oneself, use endless hyphenation!
First, German Udo Ulfkotte was a bought journalist. Then he felt remorse and started to expose the truth about modern journalism (keyword: Operation Mockingbird).
He planned a trilogy, died after the first book came out, and all his notes vanished. The first translation of the book, bought by a shadow company, quickly went out of print. The Wikipedia entry is a hit job, of course.
