The Fatal Contradiction: Why Is Pollard In Politics?! Why Is Feiglin Running?!

Quoting from a prison interview (April 21, 2008), when Moshe Feiglin visited Jonathan Pollard in jail:

“If you come anywhere close to winning the primaries,” Pollard switches the subject to talk about me, “they will simply murder you. Two weeks before he was assassinated, Ghandi (Rechavam Zeevi, z.l.) came to visit me. I tried to warn him. I told him what I feared was going to happen, but he just brushed aside my warnings. They did it to one of their own; do you think that they would have any trouble doing it to you?” This is not the first time that people have cautioned me about this possibility, but when the warning is coming from the mouth of Jonathan Pollard, the words take on greater meaning.

(As I recall, in one of his books, Feiglin mentions the same idea… and then just changes the topic.)

Worth reading the rest, by the way, “to remember and not forget” the treachery of the Israeli Erev Rav.

Again, let me quote Feiglin’s own words: “This is not the first time that people have cautioned me about this possibility, but when the warning is coming from the mouth of Jonathan Pollard, the words take on greater meaning“.

Are they playing to win? If so, why?!

Some Hope: The Government Brain Drain

“The best minds are not in government. If any were, business would steal them away.”

– Ronald Reagan

Or to quote Murray Rothbard:

Who wants good people in government? Good people should be in the private sector. Helping us out, helping themselves out in the private sector. We want schmoes in government. We want people who can’t find the doorknob. Why waste productive people, as well as looting the taxpayer?

Of course, there are exceptions, such as where the government criminalizes competition (um, the military, policing). And today’s sly court-economics is worth less than nothing on the free market, so they do get a few smart people (although their models severely handicap the evil). But the fact that government is not working with the best and brightest in its predations should be a source of some comfort.

This has real-life benefits. Here’s one example.

A bit more private, non-propagandistic education, a bit more predictable, automatic failure, and the lie of government “service” grows ever clearer in the eyes of its victims.

This process is already taking place.
