Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum and Pious Fraud
The Satmar Rebbe, Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum, once explained he doesn’t tell Chassidic tales because “one cannot educate with lies”.
I found a wonderfully brief polemic titled “הקדמה לספר ויואל משה החדש”. The pamphlet points out a tiny bit of the blatant lies and misquotes and factual ignorance and shoddy scholarship throughout the overrated Vayo’el Moshe, and does so in attractive fashion (following the lead of this work).
Well?!
For examples of knowingly untrue presentations by Vayo’el Moshe, see the ongoing series devoted to VM in Kedushas Tzion.
Walking in the Street With One’s Wife – ‘Prohibited in Shulchan Aruch’?
So claims some Rebbe or another.
It’s bitterly hilarious how Chassidic Rebbes are supposed to avoid all Torah areas they know nothing about, yet don’t since they lack knowledge of their inadequacy.

Public Monuments = Public Schooling
Ryan McMaken at the Mises Institute cuts right to the chase. Privatize both, for the same reasons, and call it a day.

Zehut’s Best General Strategy, and Therefore Best Candidate
Short version: Admit things are far worse (my addition: be as specific as possible) and the solution is comprehensively different (Zehut is already being specific). Following therefrom: run populist candidates.
