An ahistorical thought upon the latest attempts to press gang Charedim into the IDF abomination. Here’s [then-Colonel] George Washington in a letter dated August 4, 1756:
“I could by no means bring the Quakers to any terms. They chose rather to be whipped to death than bear arms.”
“Quaker” is the 18th-century biblical word for “Charedi”, those who fear God’s word, unless I am exceedingly in error.
