The Complexity Test: When Halachic Proliferation Signals a Problem

Authored by: העורך Editor

When the supposed halachic details keep expanding, increasing in complexity, and changing all the time for no good reason, this implies something is very wrong.

Three examples:

  • The halachos of “Yom Ha’atzmaut” and similar unholidays.
  • When and how to say Leishev in the succa (according to Rabenu Tam).
  • What to do when you find chametz on Pesach (soon they’ll force the Goy to pay…).
