Do the ‘Gedolim’ Even Know What They Are Opposing?!

Techeiles – have they examined the topic themselves at all? Of course not. Start with the page here mentioning Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, Rabbi Sternbuch, etc. – the usual suspects (although some graciously allow others to observe this Mitzvah!).
Where is the mythical intellectual honesty attributed to them by so many? They know more about current politics than the realia of Techeiles, as clearly shown by their “objections” − and they don’t know about politics either.
