Trump is apparently getting the “last American hostage” released, while the rest of the Shmini Atzeres hostages (those lacking American citizenship) remain behind, directly due to constant “Israeli” treachery and treason, of course. Oh, and Israel just found a dead Jewish soldier; “El Malei Rachamim.” How symbolic the bitter contrast!
At least Americans have some measure of loyalty, expanded self-interest, and pride. The State of Israel, on the other hand…
As I wrote once before:
Stateless persons can be nearly-freely abused perfectly legally by all modern states. (Dual-citizenship is trying to leverage states against each other, threatening turf wars if harmed.)
If we ever get a Jewish (not Erev Rav, but Jewish!) polity in the Holy Land, I will reconsider. Until then, I think American citizenship sure has its pluses (we have noted some of the economics here).
