Some Jews see voting in Israeli elections as “joining with the wicked”. The Chazon Ish justified this, however. He saw voting as mere negotiating with “Listim” (politicians = robbers) to keep some of our own money.
I personally think what happens to people who negotiate with Listim is they eventually come to regard themselves as part of the group and forget about the Listim idea.
