Imagine Bris Milah had fallen out of observance for a millennium.
I assume we would hear the same claims raised against restoring the mitzva:
- Shedding blood?
- What would the Goyim say? Let alone PETA?
- This is too traumatizing.
- How can we possibly rejoice at such an event?
- Surely we can find a halachic way out?
