Rabbi Lazer Brody shlita Abandoned Berland-Supporting Shalom Arush LONG AGO!

Extract from an email correspondence with Rabbi Brody (sent in by one our dear readers):

Your rabbi keeps mentioning [Eliezer Berland ימ”ש] in speeches as “Rabi Umori”.

Please clarify.

Response:

GOOD NEWS: Berland-Toady *Shalom Arush* All Set to Discredit Himself!

The Master of the World had mercy on us!

As I wrote before:

Shalom Arush plays a calculating two-faced game. When speaking with victims of Berland and those courageous warriors working to set up a “Ma’akeh” against that awful stumbling block, he often pretends to understand the problems with his ex-rabbi. And then he goes right back to visiting gravesites and publicly praying for Berland’s welfare.

Now, as you can see in the following video clip — the man who still, STILL gratuitously calls Sabbatean womanizeridolatermurderer Eliezer Berland yemach shemoMy Teacher and Master” (!) to this very day — has spoken imprudently. Finally.

Probably misremembering Breslov sources (cf. Kochvei Ohr, sec. “Sichot Vesipurim” #4) Arush says Mashiach will come by the end of the next Jewish year.

So, either Mashiach won’t come, publically rendering S. Arush (akin to) a false prophet (just like his Teacher and Master, Berland, of course). Or Mashiach will come, in which case, this will doubly be the case…

God-willing, I hope to post a reminder after next Rosh Hashana.

Chafetz Chaim Lashon Hara chapter 4:8

Again, see the evidence here.

UPDATE: Mashiach didn’t come.

My Correspondence With a Jewish Blogger Who Supports E. Berland (Shortened)

Me:
Do you still support Eliezer Berland, yemach shemo, after the recent major ruling against him and his Sabbatean heresy by three major Israeli Jewish courts?

Them:
First of all, thank you for not assuming my position for me, one way or the other, and for being patient. A lot of things are going on in the wider world and, like it or not, our fellow Jews are being dragged into them. Is it possible they involve even you in some way?
Even though I don’t consider myself and my blog all that important in the grand scheme of things (and therefore, I don’t understand why you’re chasing after me to call me to account on this issue), I will try to answer your question. I’m pretty sure you’re not going to like my answer.
I’m not on the side of blatant sinners and scoffers (see Tehillim 1).
However…when it comes to actual judgment in court, there are some things that must be considered. It may be my ignorance/lack of understanding of what I am looking at, driving me to what I have written/commented on my blog, as well as the following questions. But I want to be sure that judgment in Israel is well-considered, particularly from religious people, since the Jewish beth-din-based system starting with the 3-man beth din and ending with the Sanhedrin/Anshei Knesseth haG’dolah at its head is part of the wave of the future and forever, eventually, G-d willing. The seculars (courts, media, etc.) here haven’t been doing so well lately, whether with this case or with others.
I don’t know a whole lot about batei din and how they operate.  So, can you tell me…
  • What are the requirements to have witnesses from both prosecution and defense regarding accusations against a defendant?
  • If both must take part, what attempt is made to be sure that both sides are represented among the witnesses?
  • Is there a way to weed out those who present a personal conflict of interest regarding the defendant, either way, from testifying? Alternatively, does testimony from such people have any use at all to a given case?
  • What kinds of limitations, if any, do batei din have regarding what kinds of cases they can adjudicate until the system becomes normative in Israel?
Many thanks again for your patience. I also hope this answers your question. It’s all I’ve got.
I grant that you have the advantage of seeing these particular events from up much closer than I. But at least some of the people you are working with, as far as I can tell, seem to have a long-standing conflict of interest regarding EB; this is what I have referred to above as the “intra-Breslev war” and for which I explained my reasoning in detail and still stand by.
I read the judgment on The Yeshiva World that you sent me the link to; the judgment the batei din gave is ostracism (herem), not the death penalty that the picture on the left side of the Breslevemet website masthead implies.

Me:
This is a fresh new Beis Din. And there probably won’t be any future ones, either, because unlike the first one which comprised Breslov-linked rabbis, this latest one consists of all the important independent Torah judges in Israel (and, therefore, the world).
Both sides were officially represented at the case (Berland sent three Toanim Rabbani’m [quasi-lawyers]). The case took no less than 18 months, and started out with a proclamation against speaking out against Berland until the court had made its decision.
Sadly, Jewry has not yet recovered the judicial power of the Torah’s death penalty yet, so all the joint court could decide on is the question of Berland’s guilt in itself (not even excommunication). This also explains why the rules of evidence are less severe. We don’t have semicha, etc.
Tread carefully before casting aspersions on the court. Indeed, one who wantonly rejects Beis Din’s ruling is considered an evildoer, and it is permitted to shame him and generally speak Lashon Hara about him (Chafetz Chaim Lashon Hara chapter 4:8). I assume you don’t want to fit into that category by defending on your site someone who was already found guilty.
I recommended in the past you consult people mentioned on your site as your rabbis (or something similar), such as ________________ or any alternative competent halachic authority. Seeing as the facts are now more clear than ever, I would again suggest you do so.
Yours,
Hyehudi.org Editor

GOOD NEWS: Hyehudi Blocked on Rimon’s ‘Etrog’ Filter for Exposing Berland & Moshe Bransdorfer

Just after exposing the fact Moshe Bransdorfer, חומץ בן יין to Rabbi Meir Bransdorfer, and famous for the “Kneh Bosem” Arba’ah Minim hechsher, willingly and knowingly gave false testimony in Beis Din against the main witness against Eliezer Berland yemach shemo, all of a sudden Hyehudi was blocked on Etrog. Etrog also blocks other anti-Berland sites (while opening the pro-Berland camp!).

For more on the Pesak Din against Berland & his idolatrous, Sabbatean cult, see here.

Here is the message from Etrog (sent in by a contributor):

May the verse speedily be fulfilled (Malachi 3:5):

“וקרבתי אליכם למשפט והייתי עד ממהר במכשפים [מוטה פראנק] ובמנאפים [תלמידי ברלנד] ובנשבעים לשקר [משה ברנסדורפר] ובעשקי שכר שכיר אלמנה ויתום ומטי גר [ברלנד, בין היתר] ולא יראוני אמר ד’ צבאות.”

As you can see, I’m wholly uncowed…

P.S. Shalom Arush refuses to abide by the ruling of Beis Din. He knows better than us who Berland really is, yet still insists on referring to him until today as “My Master and teacher, Rabbi… etc. on his “Kol Ha’emuna” hotline.

Shalom Arush plays a calculating two-faced game. When speaking with victims of Berland and those courageous warriors working to set up a “Ma’akeh” against that awful stumbling block, he often pretends to understand the problems with his ex-rabbi. KIDDUSH HASHEM: New, Enlarged Beis Din Rules Eliezer Berland *yemach shemo* Be Ostracized

Three Chareidi Batei Dinim Rule that Eliezer Berland is Guilty and Should be Ostracized

(By Rabbi Yair Hoffman for 5TJT.com)

The Talmud Yerushalmi in Kiddushin 4:1 states that a Kiddush Hashem is greater than a Chillul Hashem. It is clear, however, that the simple meaning of this expression is too obvious a statement to be an insight of the Talmud Yerushalmi.

Rather, the meaning of this passage reflects the idea that when both a Chillul Hashem and a Kiddush hashem are present in the same action, the Kiddush Hashem outweighs the Chillul hashem.

A few hours ago, in Eretz Yisroel three separate Chareidi Batei Dinim, after 18 months of (two of them) meticulously collecting evidence and testimony, issued a devastating ruling and declaration against Eliezer Berland. One such Beis Din was Zichron Meir Tzedek (Rav Shmuel Vosner’s Beis Din) which included Rabbi Shriel Rosenberg. Rabbi Shmuel Eliezer Stern, and Rabbi Yehuda Fisher, from the Eida HaChareidis Beis Din in Yerushalayim.

The Batei Dinim described the content of the testimonies that they had heard as “untoward acts” and “very serious behaviors.” They concluded that according to the opinion of our holy Torah everyone must stay away from

After describing the content of the testimonies in plain language as “acts that are not done and most serious acts”, the judges state: “It is clear that according to the opinion of our holy teachings, anyone who violates the three cardinal sins and their derivatives, someone who values his soul must stay away from him and one is obligated to act in this way.”

The second Beis Din was Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss, the head of the Eida Chareidis, Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, and Rabbi Chaim Meir Halevi Vozner. The third Beis Din that signed onto the conclusions of the other two were Rabbi Shevach Tzvi Rosenblatt, Rabbi Yehuda Silman, and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Lubin.

They further accused Berland’s followers of heresy for claiming in public and in writing that the crimes and sins he committed were permitted.

In the past, Rav Chaim Kanievsky advised people that Berland was a rasha. Berland has also told cancer patients not to proceed with medical treatment and that if they donate vast amounts of money to him and take certain pills (later found to be Mentos) they will be cured.

Translation of ruling:

Special Beis Din

Authorized by the Central Batei Dinim in Our Holy Land

BS”D Wednesday, 26 Iyar 5780

Psak Din

At the request of many, a special Beis Din was convened to investigate the rumors that have come out against the leader of the Shuvu Bonim community. In its proceedings explicit testimony was collected and proofs to actions that must never be done, some of them of the most serious nature. It is clear that according to our holy Torah a person who does not observe matters of the three cardinal sins and their derivatives – someone who is concerned about his soul must stay away from him and we are obligated to observe this.

The matter is very serious since some of his students and followers have Heaven forbid rationalized that it is permitted for a Tzaddik to perform any matter of sin, and this has even been publicized in published works. These matters are to be considered complete heresy in the fundamentals of our religion. We must uproot and remove this apikorsus from within us.

Doing so will fulfill the verse (Shmos 18:23), “and all this people also shall go to their place in peace.”

Rabbi Shriel Rosenberg. Rabbi Shmuel Eliezer Stern, Rabbi Yehuda Fisher, Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss, the head of the Eida Chareidis, Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, and Rabbi Chaim Meir Halevi Vozner, Rabbi Shevach Tzvi Rosenblatt, Rabbi Yehuda Silman, and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Lubin.
