Why – beyond Jew-hatred – are there Holocaust revisionists/deniers?

I project it’s because they puzzle at the suddenness of the claims. The Nazis kept their Jewish genocide private at the time (and tried to cover it up afterward, too). So it’s at least suspicious. Likewise, many refuse to accept accusations only arising after the accused’s passing (such as with Shlomo Carlebach).

Perhaps this is yet another example of the “victors writing the history books“, they wonder (especially with the foolish thought-criminalization), which WWII has plenty of already (Nanking, US soldiers in France, Pearl Harbor, etc.). When they then see the uses to which the history books are being put, that is, to cut down Edom, and build up a successful Jewish renascence, counter to every Mohammedan/Cursedian anti-Judaism false prophecy, the personal motive is added. And the Establishment is known to be lying and/or wrong about untold oceans of information (court economics/medicine/wars/history/psychology/etc.).

So what is the ultimate, eschatological reason the slaughter was kept so quiet at the time (assuming the question significant and the answer knowable)?

Maybe this, Yechezkel 20:33 – 38 (the ‘Parsha’ is from 20:30 – 44):

והעלה על רוחכם היו לא תהיה אשר אתם אמרים נהיה כגוים כמשפחות הארצות לשרת עץ ואבן.
חי אני נאם ה’ אלקים אם לא ביד חזקה ובזרוע נטויה ובחמה שפוכה אמלוך עליכם.
והוצאתי אתכם מן העמים וקבצתי אתכם מן הארצות אשר נפוצותם בם ביד חזקה ובזרוע נטויה ובחמה שפוכה.
והבאתי אתכם אל מדבר העמים ונשפטתי אתכם שם פנים אל פנים.
כאשר נשפטתי את אבותיכם במדבר ארץ מצרים כן אשפט אתכם נאם ה’ אלקים.
והעברתי אתכם תחת השבט והבאתי אתכם במסרת הברית.
וברותי מכם המרדים והפושעים בי מארץ מגוריהם אוציא אותם ואל אדמת ישראל לא יבוא וידעתם כי אני ה’.

These verses are commonly deemed to describe the Holocaust, for many textual reasons (Rabbi Brand agrees). Assuming this is correct, we arrive at the famed Radak.

Radak ibidem expounds:

והבאתי אתכם אל מדבר העמים, כשאוציאכם מן העמים לא אביאכם אל אדמת ישראל עד שאשפוט אתכם במדבר העמים שם אקח משפטי מכם ואכלה המורדים והפושעים שאמצא בכם ואקח משפטי מכם במדבר במקום שאין שם אדם ולא עובר ושב כדי שלא יראו העמים ברעתכם וישמחו לכם זהו שאמר ונשפטתי אתכם שם פנים אל פנים כלומר ביני וביניכם בייחוד בלא אמצעי וכן ודבר יי אל משה פנים אל פנים בלא אמצעי וענין ונשפטתי אודיעכם מעשיכם הרעים שעברתם על תורתי בגלות ואקח נקמתי מכם שם במדבר.

(There are other interpretations of “desert” here. Malbim says this means they won’t find their needs provided for, as a traveler in unpopulated wasteland.)

Uh, you don’t sound too confident here. So what do you mean by writing?

To let the reader decide.

1. Contrary to popular projection, anti-Zionists oppose Israel, and its mitzvos, in every which way, and not just “Zionism”. This is obvious “between the lines”, both written and oral, in countless places. One example: Vayo’el Moshe‘s pathetic “proofs” there is no obligation to live in the land of Israel.

Pillarisation (Dutch: verzuiling) is the politico-denominational segregation of a society. These societies were (and in some areas, still are) “vertically” divided into several segments or “pillars” (zuilen, singular zuil) according to different religions or ideologies. The best-known examples of this are the Dutch and Belgian ones.

These pillars all have their own social institutions: their own newspapers, broadcasting organizations, political parties, trade unions and farmers’ associations, banks, schools, hospitals, universities, Scouting organizations and sports clubs. Some companies even hire only personnel of a specific religion or ideology. This leads to a situation where many people have no personal contact with people from another pillar.

Israel is not an apartheid, but it is pillarized by religion, and by religious subgroups, to a degree. Good or bad, black or white, call each thing by its proper name!

I reckon inaccurate “apartheid” was chosen not as a slur, but because the correct definition is unfamiliar: Pillarization.
