Rabbi Shmuel Nadel quotes the Chazon Ish saying that restoring the Avodah in our time (at least in our current state, howsoever defined) would be a “slaughterhouse” (or בית מטבחיים).
I don’t believe the Chazon Ish said this.
But I know who did say it. Esav (Yechezkel 35:6)!
לכן חי אני נאם אדני יהוה כי לדם אעשך ודם ירדפך אם לא דם שנאת ודם ירדפך.
Rashi there:
“דם שנאת, בזית את הבכורה שעבודתי היתה מסורה להם ושנאת להיות מלכלך עצמך בדם קרבן עבודתי ולכלוך דם הרוגים ירדפך…”
