If a male couple uses IVF (even assuming outside supervision or a paternity test), this means the son has feelings and loyalty (mainly) to his biological father.
The same for a female couple. The son has feelings and loyalty (mainly) to the woman who actually bore him.
The other adult is a step-parent. How short-sighted!

If, on the other hand, the couple chooses not to reproduce, this is a form of generational\societal suicide. Of course, regular secular couples aren’t much better. I guess they want the religious to inherit the earth…
