The logical premise behind the existence of the State is that the nature of the world is such that external, (and inevitably increasingly aggressive) intervention for “people’s own good” is good, proper, and effective.
So, the discovery by the sovereign on his own flesh that medical overtreatment and overcare, in fact, kills is… ironic.
