You may already know R’ Yoel Teitelbaum was an Achav Apologist (Nu, as their circles love quoting: איש לפי מהללו!), [then, right where the meat should go, Vayoel Moshe trails off with the Poor Man’s Appeal to Authority, “אכמ”ל”, which does not mean Acamol].
But Achav (yes, the king with no portion to Olam Haba), also agreed with the Satmar Rebbe!
The Satmar Rebbe claimed the Six-Day War wasn’t miraculous since Hashem doesn’t do miracles through the wicked. Achav was of the same mind (well, it’s hard not to arrive at that idea. It’s the default human conception until and unless you read the Torah, which neither Achav nor R’ Teitelbaum did seriously (if not worse), although both respected it).
