From Chananya Weissman (here):
A typical campaign speech:
I promise change! I promise to be transparent! I promise to fight corruption! I promise to fight for YOU!
A campaign speech you will never hear:
If I am elected…
I promise to declare Beit Shemesh, Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Dimona (and your neighborhood too) a no-fly zone for fighter jets, drones, and other military aircraft.
I promise to ban aircraft from spraying chemicals, metals, and other toxic substances into the atmosphere.
I promise to ban Iron Dome from being deployed in or near civilian populations.
I promise to ban weapons testing on the people.
I promise to ban foreign militaries and CIA agents from our land.
I promise to insist the United States keeps its “aid” and not “fight our wars”. The same for all other countries.
I promise to ban false flag operations.
I promise to disband the Shabak, the Mossad, and other shadowy agencies that operate beyond the law and public scrutiny.
I promise to disband the Chief Rabbinate, remove all state-employed rabbis from their positions, and allow local communities to choose qualified replacements from the best, brightest, God-fearing Torah scholars among them.
I promise to ban torture as a form of intimidation, interrogation, or punishment. However, all those who tortured Amiram ben Uliel will be interrogated with the same methods they used on him, after which they will be publicly executed.
I promise to release all classified files related to the Yemenite Children Affair, Covid, and October 7 without redaction.
I promise to reduce taxes to a maximum of 10% of income for all citizens.
I promise to end the military draft for all citizens and completely reform the army in accordance with Torah law.
I promise that free access to places of prayer and Torah study will never be interrupted or restricted.
I promise that freedom of movement and assembly will never be interrupted or restricted.
I promise to make Torah the law of the land, as part of which only God-fearing, Torah-observant Jews are permitted to hold even the most minor positions of authority.
You will never hear this campaign speech or anything remotely like it. Why?
