There’s an old Yiddish expression: “For matzos and shrouds, one always finds money.”
Still, there is more than one kosher way to bake matza, and cheaply, not as “לחם עוני”! “The rich must live more simply, so the poor may simply live”. Not all of us need the temperature-controlled commercial oven with specially imported Italian marble.
And then “kimcha depischa” should suffice. The Ashkenazi Rema himself writes: ומנהג לקנות חטים לחלקן לעניים לצורך פסח.
