After WWII, I knew God-fearing Jews who left Europe for America and Israel. There was no difference between the religious level of the ones who went here or there. Nevertheless, the second generation of those who had gone to America was lower than the second generation of the Jews who ascended to the land of Israel. We learn from this the mystical quality of the land of Israel.
