A Tip on Speaking to Israelis

If you are a bilingual speaking with a Hebrew-speaker in their language, and you notice their attention waning during a monologue, drop in a foreign word. If you don’t know which words have entered their vocabulary yet, just pop in any English word with a Hebrewish accent and ending, and hope they catch your drift.

This goes for the more modern, intellectual types (and virtually all seculars). They pride themselves on their cosmopolitanism.
