It is rumored Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky would, at one point, frequent Rabbi Elazar Menachem Man Shach’s apartment every 30 days to recite the blessing of “Shechalak”.
If true, there is nothing remarkable here. Rabbi Shach was not worthy of the Bracha, but Rabbi Kanievsky has always worshiped him (almost as he does Rabbi Steinman). He must have got it from his father, the Steipler Illuy.
